There are lots of benefits to becoming a volunteer with Khalsa Fostering.  We’ve got lots of opportunities for you to get involved in, from helping mentor a young person to taking part at fundraising events.

There are lots of benefits to becoming a volunteer with Khalsa Fostering. You can learn new skills, improve your CV, build your confidence and make new friends. We’ve got lots of opportunities for you to get involved in, from helping mentor a young person to taking part at fundraising events. There are many different ways you can help children in the UK.

Whatever your skills and experience, and however much time you can offer, we have a volunteering opportunity for you. You’ll get support and training if you need it, and you’ll make a real difference.

Our fostering advisors are happy to help and answer any questions you may have about your specific circumstances or to explain the next steps in the journey to foster or volunteer with us.

You can volunteer by donating you skills to a child, either online, in person or over the phone. Whatever skill, hobbies or interesting you may have you can pass that on to a foster child. Frequently asked questions about volunteering

Need help finding a suitable role? Email our Volunteering team and we can let you know about the volunteering opportunities available in your area: volunteer@khalsafostering.org

If a role requires a specific commitment, we’ll always let you know first. Otherwise, you can give us as much or as little time as you like.

Ideally, volunteering a couple of hours at a time, is best for us as it makes it easier for us to plan how our opportunities work. But if you only have an hour to spare, we’ll be just as grateful.

18 years old,  a DSB Check will be required.

No. Previous employers can vouch for your ability at work, but we can also accept references from friends, colleagues and clients.
